LONG STRUCTURED CONCHILLAGE DRESS

600 HOURS OF EMBROIDERY - MULTIPLE ARTISANS

Long structured dress with deep open back, with voluminous top and column shaped skirt.

A shape that has been inspired from archive pieces which were also present in the last Vivara runway show. The top part is characterized by structured volume, while the bottom part has a fixed fit at the hips. The base is satin silk organza which adds further to the luxurious feel of the garment.

The embroidery is created with oval bombé sequences which are custom cut, and on top of each of them we have a round couvette sequin in the same colour. Thus, assuring a richer texture and shine.

The black areas have vertical embroidery while the white waves of the Marmo are elevated into a three-dimensional effect with standing bugle beads.

We can observe a very subtle outlines with black bugle beads which simulate the “filetto” of the Pucci prints. These techniques are extremely time consuming and are example of an incredible artisanal craftsmanship.

MADDALENA FRINGED LONG DRESS

This long-fringed dress is composed through layering of fringes in different lengths.
These fringes are created with meters of white twill fabric developed into tubulars. Using an antique trimming frame the tubulars have been developed into looms ready to be printed.

Each layer had been printed separately on both sides with portion of the print through transferring technique.

Once printed, they are cut in a perfect straight line on the edge and then reapplied on the printed stretch base in the exact same position of the printed portion. In this way they recreate the original graphic of the Maddalena print.

As a result, we have a dynamic movement of the print which once still in comes back to recreate the Maddalena drop.
Overall, this is a complex and time-consuming technique which requires extreme precision and skill.

SHORT STRUCTURED CONCHILLAGE DRESS

350 HOURS OF EMBROIDERY

This dress features a very deep opening in the front instead, and a shorter skirt part for a less dramatic feel.

There is also a variation in the placement of the Marmo print which in the longer garment has its distinctive sphere shape located on the shoulder, while for the short dress we observe it on the hip.

The embroidery is created with oval bombé sequences which are custom cut, and on top of each of them we have a round couvette sequin in the same colour. Thus, assuring a richer texture and shine.

CONCHILLAGE TOP AND TROUSERS

375 HOURS OF EMBROIDERY

This outfit is composed of two pieces even though one might think it’s one.

The idea behind is to have separates that can exist on their own but put together they have a continuous Marmo placement.

The embroidery is created with oval bombé sequences which are custom cut, and on top of each of them we have a round couvette sequin in the same colour. Thus, assuring a richer texture and shine.

CONCHILLAGE TOP AND FRINGED SKIRT

1125 HOURS OF EMBROIDERY

This two-piece outfit is composed by a skirt inspired from the foulard story and the balloon soft top.

Embroidered on silk georgette base these garments are more fluid and less structured.

What is truly technically exceptional are the double embroidered fringes at the edge of the skirt, which have continuous Marmo waves.
